The Touch Control finish is still used, however, to enhance the touch on the ball. Rather than using an extended fold-over tongue, the lacing uses a hidden loop system to present a kicking surface that is relatively uniform. Anti-stretch fabric lining is still used to preserve the shape of the shoe, and both cotton and EVA foam are used in the insole. The Fiber Tech sock liner uses flex points in the forefoot area to allow for correct movement of the foot. The outsole has Axeler technology, which uses Tech Alloy for increased propulsion on toe off and rear foot stability. The dual density polyurethane BX 14 outsole uses a molded stud configuration to make turns easier.
